#GNO

There are just some weeks that don’t seem to go your way. Between work, school, your social life, family-everything sometimes seems to just blend together and become one huge mess. This was last week for me. A stressful week at school piled with assignments, home life, a death in the family, and just other sorts of craziness, sometimes it’s hard to breath. This is why this blog post is for all my girls out there who may feel the same way.

It’s been a while since I’ve had a Girl’s Night Out or what some people may remember Miley Cyrus singing #GNO. This past weekend I had the opportunity for one as it was one of my best friend’s 21st birthday’s over the weekend, and man was it worth it! #GNOs are something you should never take for granted as usually the people you go out with are those who mean the most to you and who are your best friends. This is important as the people you are with can either make or break your night.

Living in Miami, we have so many activities that we are able to take advantage of, and sometimes, we natives forget about since we are from here. The birthday girl chose to go Downtown to Bayside and get a bunch of her girlfriends on boat for an hour and a half and just dance the night away to celebrate her big day! It was one of the most fun night’s I’ve had in a while as I was with people whom are fun, loving, and caring. We sang, dance, ate, and then afterwards sang happy birthday to the birthday girl of course! I couldn’t have asked for a better way to take my mind of the stress of school and home, or better people to share it with.

My advice for my girls who seem to not be having the best week is to take a day and go out with your friends. Make it a priority to go and do something different or new at least once a month. We need to remember that life is not always going to be rainbows and butterflies and that it can be tough. We also need to remember though that we need to take time out to enjoy the little things around us, the beauty, and those whom we love and care about, as we never know the time nor the hour. Remember, we may all have #OneOfThoseDays or even weeks, but it’s up to you of how you will turn it around and make it shine bright!

I really like how you had a slideshow of pictures to add more interest and for providing a visual representation of what you wrote about. It looks like you all had a wonderful time! I can definitely relate to this post because I have had a bad week before as well. Nothing seemed to go right, and no matter how hard I tried, things didn’t get better. Thankfully, I got through it, and I realized that my close friends played a huge role in that. We went out to brunch, spent the whole day together, then went out to a get-together. It turned into a Girls Night Out but overall I guess you can say it was a Girl’s Spending The Full Day Together, lol. I’m glad you got through your bad week, too.

      Thanks girl!
I was trying to do another slideshow for this past post I just put up and now I forgot how I did it! lol
I am so sorry you had a bad week. I hope it got better toward the end and that these past couple weeks after that went well!
Having that girls day I know for sure must’ve been a lifesaver. When we have close girl friends, they always seem to know exactly what it is that we need.
Thank you for your kind words. =)

Finding balance in life is always a puzzle. Sometimes, we really just have to make us time though a priority regardless of what else is going on; otherwise, we may fall and if we fall than what was the point to going through the struggles in the first place?
      Very important to think about.

Victoria, this was such a beautiful blog post. As I was reading, I felt the urge to call of my girlfriends in Sweden and tell them to fly over this weekend and go out with me. It is so important to treasure and value what you have. Great post and pictures! 🙂

      Awww Zelda!
I wish you could go see your girlfriends! I bet it’s really hard being away from them. I’ve learned that it’s so important to never take anyone that you care about in your life for granted as you never know what is going to happen a second from now. Life can change in n instant, and I am just happy that I had the opportunity to share this time with my girls.
I hope you get that opportunity soon as well.

My condolences on your loss! Keep your head up and realize that they are always watching you so its like they never left! I agree on needing to take a break and step out for a much needed GNO! sometimes we have to push past all the pain, disappointment, frustration and hurt and realize that you need to let loose and have fun… Life is too short and too unexpecting not to!

Thank you for your kind words Stella.
I completely agree with all you said. It’s hard sometimes but we all have to push through and realize what is important. Having those moments of rest and good times are important in order to rejuvenate and sometimes even regain a new frame of mind. We must always try and take the time to appreciate what we have been given.

Haha you def should go get one girl! We all could use one during this stressful time of the semester. I hope that you are able to find time soon to have a night or even a day with your girlfriends and just relax and enjoy your time together regardless of what it is you end up doing together. We must always appreciate those little moments.
